How does UOB UNI$ work?

UOB can change your UNI$ for miles.

So when you spend normally, they credit you with UNI$ (NOT miles). You can choose to redeem your UNI$ for miles or for other stuff.

When you redeem and "spend" uni$, those does not earn miles nor future uni$.​​​

For UOB Preferred Platinum, you will earn up to UNI$10 for every S$5 spent for Selected Online Transactions and Contactless Transactions. At the same time, this is capped at UNI$2,000 per calendar month.

Accordingly, UNI$1 = 2 miles.

Now, assume that it is an eligible spend for 10x UNI$ and we spend $10. As a result, we will earn UNI$2 x 10 = UNI$20 (based UNI$ x bonus). In like manner, this is equivalent to 40 miles.

However, if we redeem the UNI$, we did not spend any money. Consequently, no UNI$ will be awarded.
