How does Singlife work? Is it a savings account or insurance?

I tried to sign up just now and it says that I’m protected from death etc...

Do I have to pay any fees? Because I’m only interested with their 2.5% interest up to $10k. Decided to park $10k over there but came across their terms and conditions..

Hey Anon, while there is an insurance component to the Singlife Account, you do not have to pay any fees for it. Currently, the Singlife Account offers one of the highest interest rates, 2.5% p.a (non-guaranteed). I treat it like a bank/savings account rather than an insurance plan although it does have a death and terminal illness benefit as you are free to surrender/cancel the policy anytime as well.
