How does BTO balloting works?

I know they recently just released a BTO but I do not have the time to apply. Will I be place at a further queue number?

Nope, there is no limited time to apply. You just apply by the dateline and you get allocated a number after!

Once you get a number it will be a queue. And it does look like if you choose mature estates, the over subcribed rate will be a huge factor more! (eg Biddadari was 8:1 applications)
