How do you trade foreign stocks across different trading platforms?

Hi. I'm currently with OCBC Securities and holding some foreign stocks under its custody. What if I want to change trading platform from OCBC Securities to DBS Vickers? Can I sell my foreign stocks (under OCBC Sec custody) in DBS Vickers platform? If yes, how to do it? Thanks.

Usually foreign stocks purchased on a particular platform are held in custodian with that broker. So you won't be able to sell them off on another platform unless you transfer them over (at a cost).

This is unlike sgx stocks held under your cdp account that allows you to sell on any platform.
