Are there any jobs that would be easier to get into (for this group of people)?
Realising that you are not confident and keen to pursue what you studied as a career is scary and confusing. Has anyone gone this route? What did you study and what did you end up working as? How did you land into the job?

You're not alone in this!
It's common to be thinking about a career switch and we've seen this in many jobseekers :) People who studied accounting going into marketing, studied law and went into product management, studied business and went into software enginering. The list goes on!
Here are some things that may help you.
Internships
If you're still in school and have some time before graduating, we'd definitely recommending doing more internships (even part-time internships during the semester!) so you get more exposure to different career options and can better evaluate what you like/don't like.
Build your portfolio
This is the #1 way to get into an industry / job function you have 0 experience in. A portfolio shows the employer that you have the passion, inclination and commitment to dedicate time to develop the skillsets needed.
You also prove that you can do the job - even without studying a relevant degree or having prior experience. And that's a critical factor employers look for - whether you can deliver on the job.
Tap the hidden job market - Network!
Build relationships with people in the industry you're trying to get into. Find out what you need to do to break into the industry, what they look for when hiring for their teams, and what it takes to thrive on the job.
