Hi Anon,
According to PDPA rules, you will need to get your family and friends' permission before you give away your contacts.
Just say no, and stand your ground. Inform the agent that he or she is making you very uncomfortable, and you will not do any business with him or her.
You may also lodge a complaint with his or her company, or the MAS.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Yuantai

You do not have to feel guilty for rejecting the request.
Ultimately, this agent might be pressured by his/her agency to get more clients. In turn, he/she uses desperate measures to get clients.
If you feel that your agent is acting in your best interest during your appointments, let him/her know that you will refer them clients when someone ask you for recommendations.
Otherwise, outright reject the request. Being excessively pushy is against the code of conduct. And it is a consumer right to report any of these misconduct to MAS.

I usually tell them no and if they are persistent I will quote PDPA.. like "ah I don't give people's contact without their approval because PDPA you know." If the agent still insist usually I'd ask for their number (if I don't have it already), take their name card and be passive aggressive like "it's not nice, imagine I take this name card and pass it to MLM for diet products and hair loss salon for promotions. If you don't like or don't need a product or service you will feel annoyed too right? Let me check with them and if they are comfortable or require recommendations I will introduce them to you.'

I told my agent I need to respect my friend's and relatives' privacy but will share with them about her services when we meet up and give her contact to them if interested.
