Physical gold or gold instruments?
Why would you want to invest in gold?
Gold instruments like ETFs can be bought online.
UOB offers gold savings account where you can accumulate gold grams. Other dealers also offer such accounts.
For physical gold, you can look at the local available dealers or UOB bank. They offer physical gold for purchase.
Typically the spread is lower at higher weights so depending on your budget, you can get those that you are comfortable with. Always look for investment type or bullion type as they do not incur GST. Bars are usually sold at a lower premium than coins. If you just want to get gold and donβt care about the design, get bars from the well known brands on the good delivery list i.e. PAMP.
Do get a good safe if you intend to keep your gold at home. Dealers will also charge storage fees if you choose to store your gold in their premises or vaults. Be aware of such costs and other maintenance fees.

You can try checking out the Everest Gold app!
I have just started trading on the platform because there's a lot of flexibility and convenience provided, such as being able to start from as low as 0.01g of gold; which is around US$0.60, to the part where you can trade 24/7 with zero transaction fees.
There is also the 300,000 onboarding rewards awarded to new users where they can be exchanged for EGUs to trade on the platform. This is ideal for investors like me who are just starting out on gold investment and would want to try out the app first.βββ
