How do I know if the share i brought allows for Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) and where can I actually find the info? Is it recommended to reinvest dividends?

You can check on the REIT’s investor relations site in the distribution history section, if they offer DRIP. Some may only offer for some distributions.

If you have shares of the REIT and they offer DRIP for that particular distribution, you will be notified to make your selection whether to receive cash or stock.

The equivalent for companies that pay dividends is the scrip dividends scheme.

For clarity:
REITs pay out distributions.
Other types of stocks pay out dividends.
