How do I know if my new job fits me? (This isn't my first job and I'm 1 year into this new job)

I heard of this saying "You don't get to hate your job until you are able to do it proficiently because you will hate it if you struggle at doing it." It will take time to learn in a new role and struggle in the beginning

But how do you tell if the struggle is due to a lack of experience, which will improve over time, or incompatibility with the job as you may be missing certain attributes needed for the role (e.g., good writing skills) that may be harder to develop if it is not natural to you.

There is no perfect job that fits you nicely in this world. The only issues are your mentality and your attitude towards the job. Change yourself and do not expect the job to change to your expectation otherwise you will be hoping from one job to another, accumulating redundant valueless experience in your profile

Patience to see the ups and downs of the job and review it regularly? If no struggle something is wrong too - no growth. I assume when ppl say growth (i.e. expectiong benefits better) they understand = give me all the problems and challenges the organization has I alone am wise and good enough to solve it (i.e. proving their worth/value above others).

Sometimes it is not about you and your job scope, but how well you play with others around you in office.

Harsh truth but competencies is only a good piece of the bigger pictoral puzzle piece šŸ§©.

Suitabilty or experience issues cannot be decided by just the time u have been in the job. There are other factors such as how often u feel satisfied, what are the roles that interest you, and your benchmarks against other new colleagues and the experienced ones as well.

Seems like you think that this job is suitable for you rather than a lack of experience. It might be good to speak to someone who are or have been in similar job and someone who also happen to know you relatively well to share some insights.
