How do I file taxes as a self-employed tutor? I am 22, just graduated and have been giving tuition since Jan 2020. My income increased significantly since April, but I am not sure if I need to file taxes. Any advice?

Since schools closed during April-May, my income have increased significantly as most of my tutees request for 2x tuition per week. Currently teaching 6 students, income for April & May were around $4200 & $4500. Income will remain arnd $4500-4600 for rest of the year. Est $54,000 annual income. How to go about filing tax? (as all my income were paid by PayNow from parents) Went on IRAS website but couldn't find any useful info.
First-timer for filing taxes, appreciate every help!!!

Hi, I think you do have to file taxes! I saw this very relevant article for you about how to go about doing so, hope that it helps! Btw you have a very high income for just 6 students! What level do you teach at?

Hi I am also in the same situation not sure if you have any updated info as to how we can keep a record of the payment and textbook purchase on behalf? Do we need to send them receipts or invoices? Also amazed by how much you earn with only 6 students! Do you teach them more than one sessions?

Wait till next year when the tax filling period opens tou can fill you tax as Self Employed.
