How do I calculate the interest rates for an endowment policy?

I signed the Aviva MyRegularPay plan 5 back.

Payment is around 300 per mth for 10yrs, and I was guarenteed a lum sum of about 49k+ in 15 years. This is if I choose not to withdraw any amount annually.

How do I know if it is worth it?

You can do a internal rate of return calculation (IRR) done by calculators.

Not easy to calculate off-hand but the projected returns seems to be around 2.95% from what i calculated.

You may wish to obtain the latest policy illustration from the insurer. Thereupon, it should show the IRR upon maturity.

Alternatively, you may use a financial calculator to help you. Here is one that may work: https://www.calculator.net/finance-calculator.html

Worth is a very general word. Generally, it will depend on whether you are capable to generate a higher yield at a lower risk level, given the same input and time period.
