How did you pay off your university tuition fees while still in school? What are some things that undergrads can do?

In the process of creating a S.M.A.R.T goal before uni starts in Aug.

What are some of your financial tips that you have done during school to pay off your tuition fees. Be it planning a budget, taking advantage of student promotions, working part time etc. Would love to get some ideas

I am an undergrad too. Unfortunately, my grades did not make the cut for scholarships.

So here's what I did:

  • Applied for tuition fee loan (0% interest until after graduation)
  • Applied for bursaries (both school ones and external ones)
  • Worked part time (earned around $14 per hour)
  • Saved up enough to pay off tuition fee and invested that sum into SSB

Currently, I am exploring a few investment tools to increase my ROI.

Cannot agree more with Qin Da, I also think you should do an internship to pay back your tuition fee. Even you may earn less from internship than a part-time job but internship experience brings great benefit for your future career. I only wanna add some channels for you to find internships which are TalentTribe, Glints as well as Telegram channel like Werk Werk. Good luck!
