Cut down on your wants

To save money is to spend less.

You can do so by analysing each transaction (if you have been keeping track) to see if it can be cut down further. For example, if you spend more than $55.50 on bus fares monthly, you can consider getting a bus concession pass. If you are spending more than $2 for coffee daily, maybe you can consider making it yourself.

It all depends on your current spending habits and how much you are willing to cut down on a particular activity.
