How are you going to use your Ang Bao money?

I will save the money

”I know it’s your Ang Bao money, but I’ll help you save. Don’t worry! I’ll give it back to you when you are old enough.”

Who remembers this from 小孩不笨 (I not stupid)? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Be it adding more money to various portfolios, or high-yield savings account, one thing i know for sure: Not giving my parents my Ang Bao money for keepsake purposes...

There is no right way to spend it, but use the money and spend it on something you've always wanted but are not willing to part away with your OWN hard earned money. You deserved it once in a while for having such self-discipline!

Even better, spend it on something that you know you should be spending on; you know its good for yourself, but are not willing to part away with those dollars previously. Common ones are: protecting your family through insurance coverage, attending enrichment courses, starting your first investment, signing up for a gym membership 🤣

Investing is always a ongoing and crucial thing, however do treat yourself and your family a nice meal once in a while to remind you on why are you building up money for.
