First, I am a stock picker and I prefer to hold fewer securities than and a fund would.
But if I were to buy funds, I would prefer to go for equity ETFs. Simpler and cheaper. I don't need to think about which fund can beat the index.
But that said, I would prefer to buy an actively managed bond fund rather than an ETF. This is because most bonds are OTC and market is not as liquid. There's a higher chance to do better than an ETF.

Hi anon,
The funds are different in composition and sector, and you can't compare them directly.
Infinity Global 500 replicates S&P 500 and is 100% US Equities
S.A.I. is a balanced fund focused on A/P equities and bonds
Nikko Japan is a Japan centric equity fund.
Which fund suits you best will have to depend on what you are looking for and whether you feel that buying a fund is better than say, picking a stock directly. After all, if you only have $5000, you probably won't want to spread it over 5 stocks, as the costs are too high.
