Get started with ETF first such as VOO and QQQ
Invest in some stocks you are comfortable such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, etc
Research on growth stocks and invest a small amount in them to get yourself comfortable with taking higher risk (which comes with higher reward)

For a start, I'd think USD 15,000 - 20,000 would be a good portfolio size with 10-15 stocks....
