Hi Seedly Community, at what point should couples start talking about money: before ROM, after, or when?

I think it should definitely be before the ROM, especially when you've dated for a few years (i would think 3-4 years is stable-ish), and if you see yourself building a future with this person, the conversation should definitely start then. How the couple aligns on financial details ie; how to manage day to day expenses like eating out, dates, utilities and other home-related payments (if you are already living together) to other things like building investments together, wedding payments, child education and so forth.

Since we’re talking about ROM/marriage, I think it’s only fair we align on money early. My partner & I can do a chill money check-in before planning our wedding on income ranges, debts, goals, and how we want to manage expenses together
