Hi Seedly Community, at what point should couples start talking about money: before ROM, after, or when?

Before ROM for sure. I personally started literally a week into dating and never regretted. It tells you alot about the person, and gives u security knowing that your finances are aligned. If not now, then when?

Personally, I think couples should start talking about money once they become a couple, even during the dating stage.

Money affects things like marriage, having kids, and your future together, so it’s important to understand each other early on.

You don’t have to agree on everything, but your views on money should be somewhat similar to avoid problems later.

That’s why I think money is one of the key things to talk about when you’re getting to know someone as a partner.

I believe that most of us may not talk about money when the relationship is just stable down.

However, after sometime like three to six months later, it will be better to discuss about income, saving and investment.

As soon as you are talking about BTOing , that's where all the expenses will come out. Cost of flat, renovation, wedding and honeymoon.
