Hi is there any way to change the base currency of my SAXO account from SGD to USD, without the need to open a sub-account? Cause I don't want to absorb extra fees for my buy/sell orders for US stocks?

Saxo customer support doesn't allow base currency changes

SADLY NO. I have contacted support and they gave me the same reply.

It's an expensive mistake but there is no way around it apparently.

Currency conversion wont matter much if you hold your shares for the long term but if you keep buying and selling then yes, USD makes more sense.

I am still on my SGD account and I am in the process of opening a sub account.
