Hi, I'm a newbie here... Is it worth to invest via DBS Invest-saver's ETF with the current COVID-19 situation now?

Is it a good time to enter the market now? Considering how the market is extremely low.

I'm going to assume you're talking about Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) into STI ETF through DBS? If you're going to DCA, many will tell you that it is best not to think about or try to time the market. Either ways, it would be a great first step for you! STI ETF will allow you to invest in the top 30 companies in Singapore.

If you really want to know about timing wise, then yes, now is a pretty decent time to start investing considering that many ETFs and stocks are really cheap now due to Covid-19. BUT, take note that the value of ETFs and stocks may continue dropping further as nobody knows when this entire pandemic will be over.

If a vaccine were to be announced next week, stock prices would likely appreciate. If things were to get worst next week, stock prices would likely fall even further.

Regardless, what I am sure of is that by investing in the market (e.g. STI ETF, S&P 500) now, you will stand to earn something out of it. This is because the market will eventually recover in time to come (unless the virus gets out of hand and wipes out the entire world.....)
