Use whatcard.sg

You can use whatcard to check the best cards to use.

That said, signing up a new card (or 1 new card) helps for large purchases - cashbacks/gifts. Using existing cards always almost get lesser benefits for large purchases.

Good to also check tie up of credit card types w merchants:

For cashback, your next best choice is probably UOB absolute - replica of Amex true cashback, but with 1.7% cashback instead of 1.5%. Arguably not much difference, but that's for you to decide.

For miles, it depends whether you can split your payment into multiple purchases. Reason is that the most efficient miles cards earn 4 mpd, but usually capped at $1k/month. So if you pay it as a single transaction, you will lose out. Best is if you can split it into monthly payments of $1k each, then you can max out for a few months.

Alternatively, you can use OCBC titanium - it has an annual $12k cap instead of monthly $1k cap.
