Hi, i am looking to start investing in brent crude oil but have no idea how I can start doing so. Can someone advise me?

I wonder if investing in commodity is the same as trading in US market via vickers whereby I need to fill up an application form and mail it back to DBS before i can activate the US market trading system.

Investing into commodities and market timing do not seem to be viable long-term investing strategies. The less so on a short term base.

The performance numbers (long term: 5 years or 10 years) as evidenced

by the available U.S. Oil ETFs range (over that long periods) from:

minus 11.4% to minus 26.2 % per year !

Hi TY Lim, we wrote an article covering the particular oil investing topic you mentioned: https://blog.seedly.sg/negative-oil-price-what-... (please scroll to the bottom of the article).

However, we do not recommend average investors to be looking into this as it can be sophisticated and complicated. Always invest in something that you know and are comfortable with.

You can buy oil futures/options or USO ETF, though highly not recommended, especially for new invest...
