Hi has anyone heard of real estate private equity ? what I understand is they pool a sum from investors and work with developers to build landed properties. Returns will be sold price minus cost

Indeed. There are many ways to structure this and different sort of real estate private equity, some would provide passive income before exiting i.e. hotels whereas some just focuses purely on capital appreciation i.e. landed / apartments
