Hi Glenford. When workload at work is getting too much to handle, how do I tell my boss that it's overwhelming without coming across as irresponsible or no leadership?

I'm still quite new at this new job at 6 months but don't want to come across as I'm not efficient or not good enough (which I may be since I am still learning). Sometimes I get jaded and feel like changing jobs. Please help... It might look like an easy solution but really, it is tiring sometimes.

It depends on the sort of work relationship that you have with your boss and if he's someone who is receptive to feedback, then you can broach the subject on how you feel without reservations. When broaching the subject, provide constructive suggestions on how the organisation can support you to handle the workload better. Assure your boss that you want to do your best and the essential ingredient is to communicate and finding common grounds that are acceptable to the affected parties.
