I mainly spend on food and a bit on online shopping. What is better, collecting miles or cashback? I do travel quite a bit and miles seems not too shabby. I am currently a 24yold with around 2.5k take home income. What are the factors I need to consider when picking credit cards?

Hmm, currently, your situation seems suitable to use OCBC 360 account with a OCBC infinity cashback card. You can credit your salary, save incremental 500 sdg in a month, spend 500 sgd on eligible credit cards to earn high interest rate.
If you prefer something with less TnCs, try Mari bank savings account and Mari credit card.

Hi! I would say to only pick to focus on cashback or miles. having the rewards also depends on how much you spend monthly because there are min spend for most credit cards. Since your expenses is mainly on food, i would recommend DBS Live Fresh card for cashback purposes. There is cashback/rebates for online spending and other expenditures. and you can earn cashback from using Paywave. Some things to take note when picking a credit card would be their interest rates, annual fees, rewards & benefits and redemption flexibility. You can check out the other credit card options before making your decision.
