Hi, can I check what’s the maximum ECI claimable in both term and whole life plans. From what I understand the maximum claim for ECI is 250,000$ regardless of the death amount.

Generally, the maximum amount one can claim on ECI varies from $250K to $350K depending on the insurer, on a per claim basis, per insurer, aggregated across all your plans with that particular insurer. Typical overall limits would be around $500K.

For example, the claim limit on Aviva is $250K for each ECI claim, with a maximum of $500K in total. For NTUC, it is a maximum of $350K per claim but a maximum of $350K too.
