What HeyMax actually does

HeyMax earns you Max Miles on top of your existing credit card rewards — not instead of them. Shop through the HeyMax app and you earn Max Miles plus your card miles on the same transaction. Both land in your accounts.

It's a double-dip mechanic. On a card earning 4 mpd, you keep those 4 mpd and stack Max Miles on top.

What are the 200 signup miles actually worth?

Max Miles have a guaranteed cash floor via FlyAnywhere: 1.8 cents SGD per mile.

• 200 miles = S$3.60 minimum cash value (PayNow, offset against any commercial flight receipt)
• Value goes higher if transferred to a partner programme for premium cabin redemptions
• No expiry on Max Miles as long as your account stays active

Two things most posts don't tell you:

• Chocolate Finance transactions do not qualify as a first purchase. Use any other partner — buying a Grab, Lazada, or Shopee voucher works perfectly and takes two minutes.
• Miles are credited after the merchant confirms your transaction — not immediately. This can take a few days to a few weeks depending on the merchant. Don't panic if they don't appear instantly.

Is it worth using beyond the signup bonus?

For miles collectors in Singapore: most likely yes.

The FlyAnywhere floor means you always have an exit. 1.8 cpp via PayNow cash against any flight receipt — no airline lock-in, no blackout dates, any cabin. That's a meaningful structural advantage over most airline miles that can expire or devalue without warning.

The KrisFlyer situation — read this before converting

Max Miles don't transfer directly to KrisFlyer. The indirect path is:

Max Miles → yuu Points → KrisFlyer

Under normal conditions this loses approximately 17% in conversion — not ideal.
