Hey expats, has anyone tried to get out of an endowment plan or an investment-linked plan (ILP) without losing a lot of money?

I signed up for such plans with Manulife and HSBC a few years ago, but now that I have relocated abroad, I am struggling to continue paying the monthly premiums. Neither provider gives me the option to reduce the premium amount. The current surrender value is 0 for one plan and ~35% of the total premiums paid for the other plan.

So far, I've found no traders that buy off ILPs. Through some googling, I found some brokers that offer to buy off endowment plans, but only if they meet certain criteria, and I would need to be physically in Singapore during the re-assignment/transfer of ownership. Is the best option to terminate at this stage and cut my losses? I could take a premium holiday, but then I would still have this burden for 6 years after the holiday... I am feeling really sad about losing my hard-earned money, and feeling so stupid for making these investment choices. Most expensive lesson of my life.
