Hello I'm intending to upgrade to private property (budget 2M) in 3 years time after my current resale flat's MOP. Where would you be looking to save/invest the downpayment and line of thought?

I have same thought as yours. But, we are planning to sell one buy two. one for own stay and one for investment. trying hard to earn more $$ for the downpayment, increase income so that can afford higher loan amount. i'm putting sum of fund to CPF too. need to find more way to grow the downpayment as well. now LTV still 75% not sure few years down the road will change to lower LTV or not.
