Hello! I forgot to pay my credit card bill in full last month & realised the Bank charged me for interest In this month's statement. Should I pay up in full (including interest charge) first?

I called in to waive, however they said the operating hours for the relevant department is only working days, means I can only call next Tuesday. I was thinking if I should pay in full now, and ask for waiver next Tuesday, or pay the bill WITHOUT the interest charge now? Will the bank see that I have paid the interest charge and not waive it for me? Or is it better to pay in full first? Many Thanks!! This is SCB spree credit card.
