HDB Unit near Lift?

Hi, is it true that if a hdb unit is beside or near the lift, the door csnnot be change? Or must meet a certain criteria?

I saw this on some youtube house sales video.

Usually the door of HDB cannot be changed. Best is not to choose a unit to near yo lift if you are not comfortable and if you have to make sure it’s always on your left when you look out from your door
