That aside, one way is to use grabpay to pay for the child medical and school fees. Using UOB one card and Grab pay you can get 5% cash reabte and grabpay credits can be used to pay school and hospital and insurance fees. Until Grab removes their 5% rebate benefit, this is one major avenue to reduce the cost of raising a child by 5%

Depends actually. A good ballpark is around 1-2 months of your salary...

Once the baby is born, we will need to start financial planning for the long term. Some of the key things include a proper healthcare insurance, a life insurance, as well as education planning for your newborn. All these will probably form part of the compulsory cost for your child's future.
On cost-saving, buy in bulk, be open to secondhand items, items that can be passed down from relatives, and be on a look-out for online promotions and fairs. If you are an existing AIA customer, consider staying active with AIA Vitality - this helps you to save some grocery budget in the long run.
On the whole, I will set up at least 6 months of my expenses + immediate cost associated with delivery and newborn. Having a kid may be expensive, but master the value of money and how you can use it to its fullest potential!
