Singapore's continued ability to attract foreign tech giants to set up here is a good thing, but can the development of the local tech talent ecosystem keep pace?

I'm confident they can as singaporeans are some of the most hardworking individuals I know (shout out to seedly engineering teams!). It's all about constantly learning, not being afraid to accept feedbacks and being able to adapt to chaning environments (tech and business directions)

Hey Anon! As a student, I feel that we should all build niche skillsets and be a "jack of all trades", this includes learning relevant and trending skills in the market right now (i.e programming) even if its outside of your major. As competition increases in Singapore its important to keep up with the demand and consistently upgrade ourselves!
There are several ways to do so now especially with SkillsFuture, online courses such as coursera, edx and other online courses that provides certifications to boost your resume to employers.
