I've learn the importance of bullet proofing your portfolio, a vital step that should have started way before the crisis. Nonetheless, any mistakes made are vital lessons that we should keep in mind over our long investing journey. Bumps along the way are inevitable, but the general way for us is up - so long as we stick to our long term goals.

As much as Investing requires some financial knowledge, it is also a test of our emotional willpower. So we should learn to always keep level headed and rational, even more so during such volatile times.

Invest only what you can lose so that you dont have to liquidate your positions in times of market volatility. Apart from that, dont make stupid mistakes like investing in what you dont fully understand (like current hot stocks or just because a company is cheap now) or take on leverage.

There's no get rich quick scheme but instead invest for the long run. Time in the market is better than timing the market!
