Freelance or full time job?

For those that went from a full time job to freelance, how did you price your expected freelance salary vs fulltime salary?

Full time job= Stability & security. You can go on vacation still recieve the paycheck end of month.

Freelance job. You need alot of discipline to not slack off, but if you can long term partner/cilent you will definately earn more than a FT job. But expect to work longer hour, because of tight deadlines.

Why not both? Best of both world. Diversify your income.
