For Resale HDB owners (esp those with 30-40 years lease balances) - what are your concerns about VERS?

I feel that it is unfair to everyone to have to subsidize owners of old HDB flats.

But then, it will be costly socially and politically not to have everyone bail these owners out, due to the incorrect expectations people have of the current HDB lease system.

Being the relatively younger resident in the 'hood (40s amongst the 70s-90s), I would think I am on the opposite side with my 1st-gen neighbours if we were to vote "for/against" the move.

I mean, if I were to reverse the order where I am nearing end-of-life, I also don't want to move. A new flat is no longer attractive to me.

So I personally feel for VERS, the outcome heavily depends on the profiles of the current owners. Pray hard that when my turn comes, I have more owners of my profile than the elderly to push it through!
