For long-term investing, would you choose the STI, S&P 500 or a global ETF?

STI feels closer to home, S&P 500 has the strong track record, while global ETF feels more diversified. Share your advice please

For long term I’d pick a global ETF, still get plenty of US exposure but at least I’m not betting my whole retirement portfolio on one country.

The best long-term investing strategy is one you can stick with unconditionally, rather than one with the highest backtested returns.

For me, that is a barbell strategy—balancing a high-growth portfolio with steady income.
