Doubts to clarify as I understand there is dividends tax for US stocks.
For 3140 which the tracks the S&P500, am I right to assume there will be dividend tax for this ETF?
For 3101: as the stocks are not listed in US market, hence no dividend tax?

If I am not wrong, dividend from HK-listed securities are not subjected to taxation for Singapore resident.
In other words. the dividend witholding tax rate is 0%

Hi Anon,
Since you are buying HK-domiciled ETFs, you need to consider 2 layers of dividend withholding tax.
We know that 2 is 0, so the final dividends the ETF receives will not be taxed when you receive them. But there may still be taxes when dividends are paid out from the stocks to the ETF itself. Ie if there is withholding tax between the EU countries and HK, the dividends earned by the ETF are subject to that tax. I'm not too familiar with the withholding tax rate for HK so I can't tell you the exact %, but this is how it works. Perhaps you could try googling to find out more.
Hope this helps!
