Early Retirement vs Smaller Workforce

Just thinking, younger folks (20s-30s) are mostly aiming for FIRE - Early retirement nowadays (like those chasing 5Cs in earlier days), with the smaller workforce (given that the younger generations are not enough to replace the older generation workforce in SG)... the future of SG seems like it can only be sustained by younger foreign workforce (if FIRE becomes very successful?)...

It will not be so easy to attain FIRE in sg.
Normal budgeting, saving and investing wont get you there if you are working just a normal 9 to 5 job without high income or well-to-do parent, who dont need your allowance.
Normal people need at least 10 to 15 years to reach FIRE must go into extreme mode, which will sacrifice work-life-balance and will need to live a simple life.
Regardless if singaporean can achieve FIRE or not, it will still depend on foreigners. High cost of living make more young generation choose to become DINK or remain single...
