I'd like to decide which offers the best connectivity at an affordable price.

Personally I use a SIM card from Three Network - it covers 71 destinations around the world. In effect, I have travelled to a number of countries with it. Price for data with voice time is reasonable too.
In case you are interested, I have wrote a post about it, check it out: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/best-way-to-get-oversea...

I'm a happy user of Airsim. Travelled to Korea, Melaka and Taiwan using Airsim and I have no problems with getting a connection. However, some rural/mountaineous areas you might experience some speed drops. Price wise it is abit cheaper than getting a local data card but please do your comparison as sometimes there might be a promotion. But ultimately I prefer the convenience of Airsim since I can just put the card in my phone and buy the package accordingly, no hassle of having to switch Sim card for different countries.
