sure there is exclusive stuff in so far as you can afford a hugely expensive car - with the higher tier banking pieces you can directly hold corporate bonds if you want to drop tens of thousands of dollars into one particular company's bond which is not so common at mass market (coz.. no one can afford it!).

Is it better? Well its still a car - the investment products at retail level still give quite a good universe of exposures (at mass market you can't afford direct bond holdings but instead you have bond funds).

Overall it is nice to have a RM for more mundane stuff and some other fringe benefits but the core isn't all that different. Certainly it isn't like there is a secret cabal hiding all the juicy opportunities and keeping the masses down.
