Does monthly GIRO payments to pay ILPs from FWD considered as UOB One Account $500 debit card spending?

Currently the ILP that i am getting from FWD only allows GIRO payment. And i am not sure if giro payment is equivalent to debit card spending given that debit card is always tagged to a savings account.

If it is, then i might then consider opening for UOB One Account. Else, it seems like it is hard to obtain more interest if there is no $500 spending /month

Unfortunately, GIRO payment does not count towards your CC spending. GIRO payment is essentially a standing instruction from your bank to automatically deduct and make recurring transaction.

What you need from your CC spending eligibility is to perform new business transaction on your credit card such as groceries, online shopping or tabs from restaurants
