Does it mean there’s no trading costs for buying and selling stocks with Moomoo since there is a 1 year 0% commission?

Hello! Just wanna ask about the new trading platform MooMoo. Saw someone mentioning about the 1 year 0% commission, does that mean there’s no trading costs for buying & selling stocks? Also, how does the deposit and withdrawal work? Is there any transaction fees for withdrawing & depositing?

There are no deposit and withdrawal fees, but MooMoo does have a platform fee that amounts to $1.09 even as the commissions are totally waived off.

If you are looking to sign up for Moomoo, the platform fees will only be a small percentage of the $200 sign up reward, and it is already considered low compared to traditional brokers (such as DBS Vickers that charge a min. of $10-25).

If this helped, do consider using my link below:

Moomoo ($40 cash coupon + potentially Tesla Share: up to $1300 with $2700 deposit)

There's also an ongoing offer by Tiger Brokers which gives you $200 for a $2000 deposit, which you can consider too.

Tiger (1 Free Grab Share + $5 cash coupon + potentially Tesla Share: up to $1270 with $2000 deposit)

(Update: With the Student promotion for Moomoo, you only need to deposit $1000 instead of $2700 to get your $240 reward!)

Hope this helps!

Disclosure: my last moomoo transaction was 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure if anything has changed.

When I sold my free Apple share, it is true that no _commissions _were charged, but a fee was charged for the transaction.

A platform fee of USD1 was charged + other small fees (which can't be avoided). So while technically it's zero comms, do note that some fees are still charged.

As for withdrawal and deposits, there are no fees charged but do note that a "fee" is lost to FX spread when converting between currencies. But that's the same for most brokers anyways so it should be quite expected.

hope this helps!
