Does it matter how many shares you have in a stock?

For example, should a person buy a few shares in different stocks, or buy many shares in one stock? Explanations would be appreciated! 😊

Nope it does not! What matters is the amount invested! Number of shares will vary depending on the price of each individual share. You may have 1000 shares of company x at $1/share which is of the same value as 100 shares of company y at $10/share. Both invested amounts are at $1000. Hence, at the end of the day, the amount invested is what truly matters! Portfolio allocation per stock is important too!
