Does it make sense to switch from KWEB to a non-us listed ETF like hang seng tech ETF?

Invested in KWEB. What will happen if Chinese companies in KWEB are delisted?

Hi there! KWEB contains ~50% ADRs and the worry is if these companies will be delisted.

The fund managers themselves will likely switch the US listed ADRs for their HK listed stocks. However, there is always the worry for some stocks that have yet to have a HK listed option. Ofc, these tend to be those taking up smaller %. Futhermore, since we aren't holding the individual shares of these companies, we need not worry about being able to sell these shares. The funds themselves will settle it with the companies themselves should they wish to cash out without needing to sell in the open market.

The alternative of course would be to switch to HK listed ETFs. KWEB's closest equivalent would be 2812. Unfortunately, many of ETFs like 2812 also contain US listed ADRs.

Hang seng Tech ETF like 3067 is a great one for fully HKEX listed stocks. Do note however, their % allocation has differences compared to KWEB.
