Does it make sense to buy a resale HDB in a mature estate despite it has only 55-58 yrs left?

Main intention of the purpose would be for investment/ to collect rent. Is this a viable investment?

HDB is not meant for investment at the first place. And with the depreciating value of the HDB, i don't think u can make good return from investing HDB. And for whole unit rental, you will need to get approval from HDB as well.
