Does anybody know about the refund policy for trip.com?

I booked my trip to Bali about 2 weeks ago through trip.com but with travels being restricted now, I won't be able to go. Hope I get at least a sum of my money back

trip.com did take action on the COVID-19 situation and they have come up with policies based on the different scenerios everyone is in.

If you have contracted the virus, you will be guaranteed full refund for all products on trip.com

For all healthcare workers with direct relation to the COVID-19 public health emergency, you will also get a full refund to all products paid for on trip.com (those that have to cancel their travel plans to help aid the situation)

If travel is being restricted due to 14 days quarantine requirements by state authorities, you may receive a full refund for any:

  • hotel

  • train ticket

  • airport transfer

  • car rental, tour

  • attraction pass booking

Air ticketing cancellation policies will be updated and liased with airlines. trip.com will guide customers in the process of getting the refunds with the latest policies (of the respective airlines) when they become available

Different countries will also have their own entry policies and restrictions. That will be updated based on the situation of the virus outbreak
