Do you think the Government will give a fourth round of COVID-19 Budget support measures when the need arises?

DPM Heng Swee Keat has just released the third round of COVID-19 Budget support measures.

    Hi Anon,

President Halimah Yacob has given her in-principle support for an additional drawdown of $4 billion from the national reserves amid the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

DPM Heng Swee Keat has also time and again emphasised that the Government is prepared to draw more from the national reserves should the need arise to draw more.

Hence, I won’t discount that there could be a fourth set of support measures by the Government should the situation with COVID-19 persist.

I am hoping by July 2020, economy is back up, and there would be no more need for support measures.

support measures means we need help.

Ideally, we hope that we don't need help.
