Do you really invest 30% of your savings monthly or u keep some as warchest?

My wife and I save about 65-70% of our income monthly. Given the situation now (ATH in US stocks and delisting risk of China stock?), we find it difficult to invest 30% of our savings. Is it better to invest or keep as warchest? (I know we don’t have a crystal ball to predict the future😅).

Thats a lot of savings wow! good job on that! personally, i would keep storing the warchest while doing my homework.

As Ray Dalio once said 'Cash is thrash'. But if entering at all time high is scary, I recommend dollar cost averaging (DCA). Depending on your age, 10-30% cash is preferred, with the rest being invested to ensure you beat inflation.

For me: everything that is possible, when it is possible, is invested, sometimes more than 30%. first duty during the initial months of the year to pay the advance tax over here.

yes, without a crystal ball no valid prediction is possible. since no prediction possible, no market timing possible. historically investors with a substantial warchest are said to have lost a lot of potential performance waiting on a 'good' entry point.

keep emergency funds for 6-12 months, importantly.

the best way in investing is the boring one without adrenaline:

cheap, diversified, passive, slowly, regularly, no drama. but that is difficult...

some other not to do's mentioned here:

Although it may be ATH as of now in the US, there's no need to worry as you can DCA into it to average out the purchase price in the long term. There's not need to time the market this way. And best is you dont invest your emotions

I'm amazed by your commitment to save up to 70% of your monthly income! Anyway,i guess it depends on...
