Yes, there are. And there are people who fail/lose money as well. There are also people who make money from property, day trading, bitcoin, MLM, collect cardboard boxes. But that does not mean you should or should not go into these. I think the more important question is do you understand unit trusts, are you ok with the expected returns, the fund managers, volatility, fees etc etc and how it fits into your portfolio.
